ABOUT SONIA

For the past five years, I have dedicated myself to the practice of Ashtanga yoga, a dynamic and traditional style rooted in Mysore, South India. I completed an intensive RYT500 Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga course there, in alignment with Yoga Alliance standards. Afterward, I deepened my personal practice and began teaching yoga in India, later expanding my classes to Poland. Today, I continue to cultivate my knowledge, offering both online and individual sessions to ensure my students maintain regularity and progress in their practice.

In addition to teaching, I find immense joy in organizing workshops and retreats, believing that these immersive experiences offer a powerful way to unlock personal growth and potential.

Beyond yoga, I am a visual artist, photographer, horse rider, and full-time traveler. In my daily life, I strive to embody stoic harmony and balance, integrating creativity and mindfulness into everything I do.

Please keep in mind that this schedule is a guideline and may be adjusted based on participant needs and weather conditions.

This plan aims to provide a comprehensive yoga experience that beautifully integrates practice with local culture, horse riding, and moments of tranquility.

To ensure a smooth & enjoyable stay, I have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to provide you with all the essential information.

SUMMARY

8-16 NOVEMBER 2024

Transfers: Pickup from Marrakesh or Agadir to Essaouira on November 8th, with return transfer on November 16th.

Activities: Daily yoga practice, horse riding along the beaches, nature exploration, visits to a local argan farm, and a three-day trek in the Sahara.

  • HOW TO GET THERE? WHAT'S THE ROUTE?
    The most recommended route leads from any European airport to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. We highly recommend arriving a few days earlier to enjoy the cultural and tourist side of Delhi and Agra (home to the Taj Mahal), as well as to acclimatize to a different climate and time zone. On March 31st, we recommend a flight to Dharamshala. We advise choosing a midday flight. Upon arrival, the entire group will be conveniently transported by taxi to our destination, and we will reach Bir within two hours. Poland - Delhi/10-15 hours by flight Delhi - Dharamshala/1.5 hours by flight Dharamshala - Bir/2 hours by car Please note that the price does not include airfare. You are responsible for booking and paying for your air tickets. During your stay in Bir, all travel and logistics costs to destinations, trekking, and temples are covered by the organizer.
  • IS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY?
    Yoga is a practice that requires attention, precision, and awareness of the limits of your own body. Even if you have never practiced yoga before, by listening carefully to the teacher's instructions and signals from your inner self, you can perform the exercises safely and without discomfort. In case of serious medical conditions, please consult your doctor before departure and inform us of any contraindications.

  • What should I pack for a YOGA & HORSERIDING retreat in Morocco?
    When packing for a YOGA&HORSES retreat in Maroc, consider the diverse activities we have planned. It is crucial to bring multiple sets of comfortable yoga clothes suitable for our yoga sessions. For trekking, ensure you have loose, comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement. Don't forget to pack swimwear for any water-based activities, as well as a warm sweater for cooler evenings. Flip-flops can be handy for quick footwear changes. By packing appropriately, you'll ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience during your retreat. For horse riding make sure you have appropriate pants and comfortable shoes.
